For over two decades, we've woven ourselves into the living fabric of Chirripó Valley. Monte Azul isn't just a place—it's a community of creators, farmers, researchers, and dreamers who call this extraordinary landscape home. Our resident artistswork independtenly, but they don't work in a vacuum; they're connected to local cheese artisans at Quesos Canaán who transform milk into art, chocolate makers at Chocolates Samaritana who understand cacao like poets understand words, and post graduate conservationist and specialized scientists at Cloudbridge Reserve who protect this biodiverse paradise with fierce dedication.

These aren't just partnerships—they're conversations between traditions and innovations, between rural wisdom and contemporary expression. When an artist walks our trails, visits Los Gigantes, or shares coffee with a local producer, they're tapping into something authentic and alive. The valley itself becomes an extended studio, with places like private nature refuge Chirripó Oasis and Orquilandia Botanical Garden offering moments of reflection and inspiration.
Our connections bridge the rural Chirripó Valley with San José's contemporary art scene, ensuring residents benefit from both perspectives. This dual connection creates a unique artistic ecosystem where traditional craftspeople and contemporary practitioners can exchange ideas and techniques.
